Hi!
I'm Sarah. And I am SO glad you're here.
This blog began in the midst of heartache. Real tears were cried over my very first posts of losing a baby in the second trimester of pregnancy, multiple miscarriages that followed, & our hard journey through fertility treatments.
Then we shared the happiest news: we had a healthy pregnancy that gave us our first born. This little blog spot has always been a haven for my thoughts. A place where family & friends could gathered to read what we were experiencing. Also a place where others in a similar, tender season could be reminded that through it all, God is good, & that they are never, ever alone (that is my hope & desire).
I've always loved to write. & here lately it has been laid on my heart to get back to it. With focuses on a few of my very favorite things: faith & family, our abode, times to celebrate, meaningful gift guides, & girlfriends I admire. I am too excited!
I grew up in South Georgia. Where people love big & wave 'hello' to strangers; a place where football games are the main event on Friday nights, the gnats are real (annoying!), and chickens roam the streets (really!).
I now live a tad further north, still in Georgia, in another precious town with precious people. It has been named one of the 'prettiest places in America;' a town that Sherman spared, where lovely antebellum homes line the streets. It's just close enough to see the Bulldogs play on Saturday nights & a day trip away from the city (Atlanta). My guy & I began our start as newly weds here & are now raising two littles, three dogs, & three egg laying chickens in a pretty raised cottage covered in sweet smelling Madison jasmine, rich history, & sticky toddler fingerprints.
Sam, my husband, is a cutie pie - with his big brown eyes, black curly hair, & fun-loving personality. We met our freshman year of college. He brings humor, excitement over the little (but really big) events in life, & plenty enough adventure to the table. He's my sweetheart. He keeps me grounded. & is my very biggest cheerleader.
I'm mama to Evie (the tot) & James (the baby). Mary Evelyn is a spit fire - she's got a big personality in that petite frame. Loves storybooks, drawing, swimming, tumble tots on Wednesdays, her preschool teachers, dressing up, & giving butterfly kisses. She just blows me away with her vocabulary, imagination, creativity, & joy.
James is squishy at six months with a smile that will melt you. In a puddle. He's seemingly a little more laid back, but time will tell. He laughs the biggest for his sister. They are two peas in a pod & make my heart so, so full.
Above all, I love Jesus & pray that in all things I bring Him the glory, honor, & praise.
I appreciate you stopping in!
Xoxo,
Sarah
